 *****GHS ANNOUNCEMENTS*****    

 

COUNSELOR NEWS:

 

The Greene County Career Center will be hosting their annual open house/chili supper from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m this evening. See fliers around school for more information.

 

The mobile dentist will be visiting Greeneview in March.  Forms are available in the front office and are due back by this Friday, January 18th.

 

Any student interested in attending the Army, Navy, Air Force, or Coast Guard Academies should plan to attend a presentation sponsored by Senator Portman and Senator Brown on Tuesday, March 19th, from 5:30 - 8:00 PM, at the Xenia Library.  Registration information is on the Guidance bulletin board.

 

ATTENTION:

 

There is a meeting for Freshman and anyone interested in class ring information during Advisory tomorrow morning.

 

Service Club will have a meeting during Advisory this Friday, January 18th.

 

Any student interested in a career in diplomacy, intelligence and national defense, please see Mr. Kasner about a summer workshop in these fields.

 

There will be a blood drive this Friday, January 18th, you must be at least 16 to donate, and have a form filled out. To get a form ask Alex Hansen.

 

Quick Recall tournament will be held this Saturday at Greeneview.

 

There is no school on Monday, January 21st in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

 

It’s time for the 2019 Greeneview vs Cedarville FFA Canned Food Drive!  The food drive will be a competition between classes as well as trying to beat Cedarville.  Let’s work together for a good cause and bragging rights against Cedarville! The food drive will begin, Tuesday, January 22nd.  Non-perishable food items can be placed in your respective class bin by the front door.

The Dayton Dragons Professional Baseball Team is looking for highly qualified individuals to fill roles during the Spring/Summer of 2019. We are looking for candidates to assist in multiple areas of our operation such as Play Zone Attendant, Bat Boy/Girl, 50/50 Raffle Salesperson and Dragons Den Associate.  See flyer outside the guidance office for more information.

 

ATTENTION:

There will be a blood drive January 18th, you must be at least 16 to donate, and have a form filled out. To get a form ask Alex Hansen. 

 

Soul’d Out will meet during Advisory this morning in the Auditeria.

Seniors planning on majoring in a field of study related to horticulture, turf management, landscape design or technology, soil science, entomology, pest management, botany-plant pathology, forest management or environmental science should pick up an application in the guidance office for the Greene County Master Gardener scholarship.
