COUNSELOR NEWS:

Norco Advanced Learning Scholarship deadline has been extended to April 12th.  Seniors with at least a 2.5 GPA who plan to attend a 2-year Community College or Vocational Program may apply.  Applications are available in the Guidance Office.

 

ATTENTION:

Prom tickets will be on sale beginning April 1st during lunch and after school until 3:15.  You must have a dance contract on file to purchase tickets.Guest contracts are due by Wednesday, April 3rd.  Tickets are $30 each.

 

All student drivers must have a parking pass displayed in their front window and must park in their assigned parking space.  Starting on Monday April 1st after we come back from break we will be doing random checks to see if cars have valid parking passes and are parking in their assigned spaces.  If you don't have a parking pass please come to the office before Monday to get one.

 

Student Council applications are due to Mrs. Reffitt by 2:30 on Friday, April 5th.

 

Students will receive 3rd quarter report cards today.

 

NHS visits the Soup Kitchen today.

 

Are you in need of a dress, shoes, jewelry, suit, shirt, tie, etc. for prom? Cinderella’s Closet Prom Outreach in Washington Court House has items available on a loaner basis.  Flyers are available in the front office.

 

This year’s After Prom will be held at the high school from midnight - 6am. Wear your most comfortable school appropriate pajamas and enjoy movies, gym games, and snacks. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased in the front office. Deadline to sign up is April 5th.

 

NHS has a meeting after school on Tuesday, April 2nd.

 

Music Boosters has a meeting on Tuesday, April 2nd at 7pm in the office conference room.

 

There is a scheduled 2 hour early release on Wednesday, April 3rd.

Any student who is interested in applying to attend one of our nation's Service Academies,  the Air Force Academy, the Naval Academy, the Merchant Marine Academy, and the Military Academy at West Point, is encouraged to attend an informational seminar sponsored by Senators Brown and Portman on March 19th from 5:30-8:00 PM at the Xenia Library.  

 

ATTENTION:

For your planning purposes, prom tickets are $30 a piece and will only be sold the week of prom.  You must have a dance contract on file to purchase tickets.

 

Attention all Juniors planning on attending the Government trip to Washington DC/Philadelphia next year:  There will be a mandatory parent meeting for all students interested in attending the trip this evening at 6:30.

 

Next week, the high school marching band will be hosting a color guard workshop. The color guard performs with the marching band at all football games and in parades. The workshop is free and will take place after school each day next week. You will learn the basics of dance, flagwork, and more! No experience is necessary. Please talk to Mr. Busch if you would like to sign up or have questions.
