Reopening Plans and Health/Safety Guidelines

The Greeneview Board of Education voted to reopen Greeneview Schools for students on Tuesday, August 25th. The changes to the calendar are necessary for us to adequately prepare for the school year and provide our staff with the necessary professional development prior to students returning. The following revised calendar was approved by the Board of Education. 2020-21 Calendar

We are committed to offering multiple educational options for our community and to protecting the health and safety of our staff and students. The goal of Greeneview's reopening plans were to create and maintain a school environment that places the health and safety of our students and staff first and that minimizes potential risk factors for them.

As you review these documents, we ask that you carefully consider the best option for you and your family for the 2020-2021 school year. Parents will be asked to log into OneView forms and fill out the Demographic and EMA forms for each of their children prior to August 1st. Within OneView you will be asked to choose an educational option and whether you will require transportation this year. Any parent who does not select a decision by August 1st will have their students enrolled in physical attendance and those students will not be permitted to ride the bus when school begins.

Educational Options:

Parents will have two options for their children this school year due to COVID-19. Please review the  document to familiarize yourself with your two educational options for the 2020-2021 school year.

  • Option 1: Physical Attendance in Greeneview facilities
    • This following is an outline of the parent and student responsibilities associated with physical attendance option 1.
    • If parents choose physical attendance, parents and students will be asked to sign the following Ram Pledge upon registration in OneView.
    • Students who choose Option 1 will have devices available according to the following plan: Technology for Option 1

  • Option 2: Virtual Learning- 100% online with virtual instruction in a self-paced program that does not involve direct instruction from a Greeneview teacher. Students will be required to check in regularly with our teacher-student advocates and maintain progress towards completion on specific timelines and benchmarks to aide in the future transition back to when conditions improve.
