Payments and Purchase Tracking

We encourage all families to utilize Pay Schools Central to:

  • track your student's meal account balance
  • track your student's purchases
  • make deposits to your student's account (service fee applies)

Please note: GCCC parents need to create a new lunch account separate from their student's regular Greeneview lunch account.

Payments may be made in school. If making a payment in school, please note:

  • Checks are preferred. Include the student's name and PIN on the memo line.
  • Cash deposits should be placed in a sealed envelope with the amount and the student's name and PIN on the outside of the envelope.
  • Elementary and Middle School students making cash payments must bring the exact amount of the intended deposit. Change will not be provided to the student.
  • Elementary students will deliver their payments to their homeroom teachers in the morning.

Applying for Benefits

Families may submit Free or Reduced-price Meal Applications through OneView at any time during the school year.  Meal account balances will be recalculated to reflect free or reduced-price meal eligibility from the date of the submission of the application.  You are responsible for paying the full price of any purchases made prior to submitting your application.

Meal Account Charge Policy and Guidelines

Greeneview Local Schools believes strongly that nutritious meals are a vital component to a healthy school environment.  Research shows that students who participate in the school meal programs consume more whole grains, milk, fruits, and vegetables during meal times and have better overall diet quality than nonparticipants. Eating breakfast at school is associated with better attendance rates, fewer missed school days, and better test scores (Source: Division of Population Health, National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion).

To ensure that all students have access to healthy school meals and to be good financial stewards, Greeneview Student Nutrition Services has instituted a charge policy for all of its schools.  This policy has as its guiding principle the belief that every student deserves nutritious meals, but that ultimately it is the parent/guardian’s responsibility to provide one.  To that end, the charge policy is as follows:

Elementary School:
  • Students will be allowed to charge a maximum of $35.00.

  • After a $35.00 charge is reached, the student will be given an alternate meal consisting of a cheese sandwich or similar substitution, a vegetable or fruit, and a milk.

Communication regarding negative balances will be made to the parent/guardian.  Parents/guardians will receive automatic notifications via text and/or email regarding negative balances.  Phone calls from the School Nutrition office and/or the school office may also be made.  You can check your student’s account balance at any time at Pay Schools Central.  Families facing financial difficulties are encouraged to apply for free or reduced-price meal benefits through OneView at any time during the school year.

Middle School:
  • Students will be allowed to charge a maximum of $40.00.

  • After a $40.00 charge is reached, the student will be given an alternate meal consisting of a cheese sandwich or similar substitute, a vegetable or fruit, and a milk.

  • With a negative balance, students will not be able to purchase a la carte items, even with cash.

  • With a negative balance, students with cash or check will be able to purchase reimbursable meals consisting of protein, grain, vegetable, fruit, and milk.

Communication regarding negative balances will be made to the parent/guardian.  Any communication to the student will be made discreetly.

High School:
  • Students will be allowed to charge a maximum of $25.00.

  • No alternate meal will be provided.

  • With a negative balance, students will not be able to purchase a la carte items, even with cash.

  • With a negative balance, students with cash or check will be able to purchase reimbursable meals consisting of protein, grain, vegetable, fruit, and milk.

End of Year Balances

Greeneview Elementary and Middle School:

Funds in the student’s meal account at the end of the school year will be carried over to the next school year.  Negative balances will be transferred to the student’s school fees.

If you plan to withdraw from Greeneview Schools, please check your student’s meal account.  Upon withdrawal, positive balances may be refunded, transferred to another student, or donated to the food service fund for school meals for students of families in need.  Negative balances must be paid in full.

Greeneview High School:

Meal account balances, whether positive or negative, will be carried over to the next school year.  Graduating seniors with a positive balance may request a refund, transfer the balance to another student, or donate the balance to the food service fund for school meals for students of families in need.  Seniors with a negative balance will not be permitted to walk in graduation.
