Special Education
Greeneview Local Schools identifies and evaluates all students (through 21 years of age) with disabilities who may be in need of special education and related services in partnership with building staff.
For preschoolers and school-age children, a disability means having one or more conditions defined by federal regulations and state standards. These disabilities include:
- autism
- deafness
- deaf-blindness
- developmental delay (applies to preschoolers only)
- emotional disturbance
- hearing impairment
- intellectual disability
- multiple disabilities
- orthopedic impairment
- other health impairment
- specific learning disability
- speech or language impairment
- traumatic brain injury
- visual impairment (including blindness)
